If you have a little boy, there’s a very good chance you know all about Lego Star Wars! You probably have the video games and Lego sets that cost more than your car, and you probably spend all day stepping on and picking up (and trying very hard not to vacuum up) tiny little Lego people modeled after the beloved Star Wars characters. You’ve got Lego Star Wars pajamas, t-shirts, swim trunks, watches, and you say "quit hitting your sister with that lightsaber" at least three times a day. And you were just told he wants a Lego Star Wars party – not just a Star Wars party, a LEGO Star Wars party. So like the good mom (or dad) that you are, you begin scouring the internet looking for Lego Star Wars party supplies and realize with dismay, there ain’t much out there! But have no fear – we’ve got you covered and we’ll help make you look like the rockstar that you are!! We have an awesome selection of Lego Star Wars party stuff and ideas that we’re just dying to share with you! Everything from invitations to thank you cards to of course party printables! Planning this party will be a BREEZE!
Here’s the HOW-TO for all the cool stuff in the photo above:
DIY PLATES: Yep, that’s right, make your own personalized Lego Star Wars party plates! It’s easy – just get the template from here, print it out, cut, glue to a disposable plastic plate, then put a clear plastic plate on top. I used clear craft glue around the edges to make the top plate more secure, but honestly, I didn’t really need it. So you can save yourself some time and money and nix that step!
DIY LIGHTSABERS: If you’re having a Lego Star Wars Party, you MUST make these!! They’ll be the hit of the party, and two years later, your son’s friends will still be talking about them – trust me, I know this for a fact! All you need to make these are some foam pool noodles, black duct tape and silver duct tape. Cut the noodles to your desired size (I cut mine in half, so I got two lightsabers out of one noodle) and get to wrappin’ the ends with duct tape to make the handles. And that’s it! You’re done! Congratulations, you’re now the coolest mom in town!
PERSONALIZED INVITATIONS: We’ve totally got you covered here! We have 8 invitations to choose from in this theme, including some photo invites as well! You can have us print them for you, or you can get the digital file and print them out yourself, either way, it’s awesome.
GOODY BAGS: Gotta have those goody bags! You can get all fancy, or you can play it simple and just grab some cellophane bags, fill them with candy or whatever, and dress them up with cute personalized stickers.
CENTERPIECE: Top your tables easily with our printable centerpieces! All you do is print out the template, cute and assemble with double sided tape. Seriously, it takes like 5 minutes! To dress them up even more, run down to the Dollar Store and buy those shiny foil centerpiece things with the stars and stick in the center of your assembled centerpiece.
CUPCAKE WRAPS: I had so much fun making the cupcakes in this photo! You can make them too! Just get our printable Lego Star Wars cupcake wraps, print them out, wrap around your cupcakes (AFTER you’ve baked them) and secure with double-sided tape. I used two different toppers for these cupcakes – plastic Star Wars cupcake rings I found on ebay for dirt cheap and Lego candy (similar to sweet tarts) that I found at some candy store online (google it, can’t be hard to find). I also made the cupcake stand myself, more on that later!
Of course you could also always go with the printable cupcake toppers – those are even cuter! All you have to do is print them out, cut (I suggest using a round craft punch – much easier, and we’re all about EASY around here! Then you take your little circles and glue them on to some sort of stick. You can use party picks, toothpicks, or lollipop sticks that you find in the cake baking aisle of places like Hobby Lobby and Michaels.
What’s a party without a pinata?? Make this super cool Death Star Pinata, and you will be a hero! It’s really easy – and cheap – to make! All you need to do is find a round pinata (basketball, baseball, creepy eyeball – yes they have those, I’ve seen them) and repurpose it. I took all the paper stuff off and painted the shell gray, drew/painted the lines on there with black paint, and yep, DONE.
Alright, now here is the coolest thing of all – Jedi Knight Training Certificates!! Give these out as party favors or send after the party as thank yous! I promise you, the kids will LOVE THESE! You can have us print them out, or you can get the digital file emailed to you and print them out yourself. Then you just take a cool silver sharpie marker and fill in the names of the kiddos to personalize them. Hello – EASY & CHEAP party favor!!
